About
I am Wiehan de Jager, a senior visual communication designer specialising in producing communicative media elements to clients from diverse industries to promote their businesses and grow their brand value and awareness.
With 15 years of hands-on experience, I am well recognised for functional and result-focussed graphic design solutions, with strong conceptual and creative illustration skills, and impactful brand identity generation and development. I am a print, paper, typography and packaging fanatic, a communication design specialist, teacher and consultant.
Working from my studio based in the charming town of Riebeek Kasteel, a short drive from Cape Town, South Africa, I manage local clients as well as international corporates based in countries such as the UK, the United States, Australia and Germany. Here, I also spend a lot of my time drawing, painting and creating traditional and digital media artwork and art prints that explore various conceptual ideas and results to express my artistic and personal impressions.
I am currently also lecturing part-time in Communication Design and Illustration at the Creative Academy in Woodstock, Cape Town.
